A Warning About Weight Loss. BLE Day 6: 236.5 lbs

An observation in metrics from a business coach:

I’ve seen a few posts in a FB group I belong to, this last week that suggests this information may be both helpful and timely as a reminder and a warning.

Businesses go under because they’re focused on the wrong things. We call these things “key performance indicators” or KPIs. For example: But they’re my biggest client vs. they generate the most profit. Happens every day and it’s 100% emotional and not rational.

You may SAY you’re committed to this way of life and believe it; but if you were 100% honest with yourself: you’re looking for a (result) profit and not a (method) sustainable business practice.

Where am I going with this? Weighing yourself. It’s the metric you’re emotionally attached to, and it’s tanking many of your “businesses”.

Recommended KPIs:

  • Did you take your measurments? Were there any changes?
  • How are you sleeping? Were there any changes?
  • How does your skin look and feel? Were there any changes?
  • How does your body feel? Were there any changes?
  • How is your mind? Were there any changes?
  • How’s your energy level? Were there any changes?

These metrics show a desire for a sustainable business model AND provide valuable information to this result:

What is your weight?

Not the other way around.

Stop driving yourselves crazy focused on the wrong things. If you’re doing the right things, the results take care of themselves.

If you are on this journey: Be kind and curious to yourself. You deserve it. Remember that you want a sustainable business model most.
